Elizabeth Diggins

I am a self taught professional natural history artist, now living in Chesham, Buckinghamshire, UK and I love working with all types of media especially graphite pencil. My inspiration comes mainly from the natural world, where my love of depicting detail can be indulged. Shells, birds, insects and animals appear in many of my graphite pencil drawings, and natural history collections/collectors inspire my current work.

Latest news- I got runner-up in BBC Wildlife Artist of the Year 2011 with my artwork "Stick Insects" in the black and white nature category! and I have been awarded the Derwent Award for best pencil picture at the Best of Hampshire Exhibition 2011. Come and see me at the Coloured Pencil Society's exhibition in London: 19th September to 1st October 2011 at the Methodist Central Hall, Westminster, SW1H 9NH. Daily Mon-Sat 9-5pm, Sunday 12-5pm. Admission free.
